Fun Activities
February 1st, 2010 - GKS and their supporters presented the Blood and Cancer Clinic with two mobile gaming stations both with DVD players and some games. Childlife Specialist Cindy Fitchpatrick called GKS this morning (Feb. 2) with the wonderful news that both gaming stations are already very popular with the kids and have been played since the first child walked in this morning and is still being played at this moment!
December 2009 with Cabela's we were able to take Christmas gifts up to the Blood and Cancer Clinic for kids to pick out and take home.
November 2009 we provided 12 very deserving families with a full Thanksgiving dinner with the help of the TAVV, VFW and APD.
June 16 - Fun Activity celebration of Garrett's 14th birthday - We made decorative plates for Dad for Father's day and also cards. We also supplied bright colored cupcakes and let the kids add whatever sprinkles they wanted to. There were some kids that did more than one plate and were very creative when it came to making something for Dad.
The patients and clinic staff were appreciative that we did this activity and everyone had a great time.
| A Message from the Founder |
A journal of our process of going through the cancer experience and after Garrett left us. It could be very helpful insight for people that are going through the same process |
